2024 Young Artists and
Authors Showcase

As a member of Sister Cities International (SCI) , the Dayton Sister City Committee (DSCC) is putting out a call for submissions to SCI's 2023 Young Authors and Artists Showcase (YAAS).  YAAS is an annual contest that encourages youth worldwide, aged 13 - 18, to express the mission of Sister Cities International through original artwork, literature, photography, and music.

 

Submissions are centered around an annual theme and judged based on creativity, composition, and theme interpretation.  This year's theme is "ClimateScape: Resilient Cities for Tomorrow’s Climate."

 

Submissions must align with one of six genres:  Classic Art, Digital Art, Photography, Authors, Poets, Musicians (see image below for specific details about each genre).  For the Dayton contest, cash prizes will be awarded to the top THREE submissions in EACH category.   The top FIVE submissions in each categories will be sent on to SCI to represent DSCC and the chance for additional prizes.  For more information about YAAS, visit https://yaas2024.org.
